Army Cycling Time Trial Series 2024 (ACTTS)

On Wednesday 2 Oct 24, the Army TT Series came to an exhilarating conclusion. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in making the series such a success.

The male TT category came down to a nail-biting finish, with Sgt Lee Watson (REME) securing victory by a mere second over LCpl Jack Sym (RAC) after four intense races. It was an incredibly tight margin after 40 miles of hard and fast racing!

Capt Bexy Dew’s outstanding performances was another highlight, as she dominated the female TT category and, impressively, outpaced competitors in both the female and male road bike categories! Her consistency and personal best on the final course capped off an incredible series for her.

In the male road bike category, SSgt Cross (AGC), who had been the long-time leader, was overtaken on the final day by SSgt Daniel Ongley (REME), whose strong last performance propelled him to victory.

A special mention also goes to OCdt Will Mead, who secured the title of top junior and third overall, and Capt Colin Paton (REME), who took the fastest old boy title on a TT bike.

A huge thank you must go to Maj Jason Mould and Capt Bexy Dew for their dedication in racing all four events, and to the organizers and supporters, including Newbury Road Cycle and the Retreat Resort, for making the series possible.

Wishing all participants a safe and successful year of training ahead!
