Some of this years Army CX Team “went early” this season and attended the Marsden MegaCross event which was a 3 hour off road racing event for solo riders or pairs.
An excellent event which we highly recommend attending next year, a full family day out and in the perfect setting of Marsden Lodge, all bikes welcome but most chose MTB or CX/Gravel.
6 of the team chose to ride in pairs, 2 decided to go it alone and do the full 3 hours (plus 1 lap) on their own.
300+ riders took to the mass start line and after that it was all downhill – apart from the 50% uphill!
A tough but rewarding course tested riders to the full, with sections of grass, gravel, mud hard pack.
Outstanding results from all the team riders with the pairs teams coming in 11th, 14th and 25th and the best individual result of the day going to Jess Wood who was 3rd overall female rider (full course)
