ACTTS Rd 4 – Results

On the Road bikes things were even closer – Lee Watson beat fellow REME rider Seb Tyrie by a mere one second, securing an incredible double as the TT and Road Bike ACTTS Champion, making it two years of dominance. Seb finished second by just 5 seconds and Harry Nanson rounded out the race and series podium for a REME 1-2-3 (certainly a rider to watch!). Though she did not race in Round 4, Bexy Dew took the spoils as the Female Road Bike Champion while Danni Chamberlain – Round 4 winner – and Charlotte Waldron rounded out the podium.

The Masters and Grand Masters categories have been hard fought at every round and this week was no different as Luke Brimble put down the camera and picked up the watts to secure the win and claim the Round 4 and ACTTS Masters prizes. Nick Mackenzie took the Grand Masters prize for the series and was strong enough for 8th overall, but it was Steve Barham with a brilliant ride who claimed the Round 4 Grand Masters win.

A mind-blowing 38 newcomers rode their first ever TT during the Series, with Marc Callaway, Harry Nanson, Seb Tyrie and Mike Garrard winning the fastest newcomer at each respective round. Awards for the Most Improved riders went to the Open and Female riders who improved upon their first ACTTS time the most; chapeau Bexy Dew and Atunaisa Bulivou.

Finally, the holy grail that is the Inter-Corps Series Trophy was secured by REME cycling, while the strength in depth of the RLC snuck them ahead of INF for 2nd overall on the final day.
