Reigning Champions Lee Watson and Bexy Dew took top spots in the Open TT and Female Road Bike categories while Ashis Gurung – fresh from his ACRRS B Race win – took the Open Road Bike win.
A great turnout for the opening round of the Series was met by some ‘challenging’ weather including a block head wind up the home straight, “the weather was the biggest hurdle today, it was a real test for the legs” said Bexy Dew who is off to race the Tour of Britain in two weeks time (best of luck Capt Dew!).
14 newcomers put a marker down with some really impressive results across all categories and with an even spread of points in the Inter-Corps standings, it’s REME who currently sit top ahead of RAPTC and R SIGNALS but the competition is wide open.
